From Qombs Project
CNR (National Research Council) is the largest public research institution in Italy, founded in 1923. Since 1989, its mission is to carry out research projects, promoting innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system and providing technologies and solutions to emerging needs in the public and private sectors.
The Italian National Institute of Optics (Istituto Nazionale di Ottica, CNR-INO) is nowadays part of CNR. Its contribution to scientific research is related to the wide experience in the broad field of optics. Its main activities include pure and applied research, technology transfer, and training.
The groups involved in the Qombs Project are:
- The Ultracold Quantum Gases (UQG) group;
- The Theoretical Quantum Optics research group;
- The Mid-Infrared and THz Spectroscopy group;
- The Nonlinear and Quantum Optics experimental group.
