Founded in 1988, the Italian Space Agency is a national public body overseen by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, which operates in collaboration with various other departments. ASI researchers contributed in last years in the development of advanced techniques for noise measurement using crystalline Whispering Gallery Mode Resonators and Comb related phenomena. In Matera, ASI labs host terminal station of Italian Metrological fiber link used as optical reference for a Ultra low noise optical frequency comb.
